I photographed wedding of Jamie & Michelle recently in my home town of Chesterfield and part of what we photographed included the famous Crooked Spire. Michelle & Jamie tied the knott at the Chesterfield Hotel with small intimate ceremony followed after with an evening reception in their large ornate ballroom.
However, before the evening reception got under way, Michelle & Jamie had requested some images to be taken up by Tapton House which sits in a commanding position overlooking Chesterfield town and the Crooked Spire. This was originally the home of engineer George Stephenson and later became boys school where Jamie once attended. The wonderful colour of the cherry blossom made for a romantic setting and we captured some beautiful images – all while dodging the errant golfballs from the adjoining course. 🙂
Here’s a small selection of their images from their special day including a sneak preview of their finished album. If you like to know more about our wedding photography please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave a comment & share this post.
Just a quick blod post to let you know that a recent commercial photographic commission i undertook has been shortlisted for the 2014 SBID International Design awards. Jamie Hempsall Ltd‘s redesign of The Refectory at Southwell has been shortlisted in the Intelligent Design category which is now open for public voting.
Please do take a look at their, hopefully, award winning design via the link above and consider giving Jamie and his team you valued support.
I was commissioned, for the third year running, to photograph the North Notts Business Awards last month and the event proved to be year another successful event organised by North Notts Business Connections. It brought together the best of North Nottinghamshire businesses for a glittering black tie event at one of the regions finest venues Hodsock Priory.
There were many shortlisted finalists in various categories and all were winners in their own right for getting this far but the event culminated in announcing the outright winners for each category.
Below is a selection of images from the evening which we covered by documenting the awards ceremony and also proving a studio setup so the guests can obtain a portrait image in all their finery and also, if they were the lucky winners, to go home with a memorable image of their award. We are able to photography many different events in and around the East Midlands area so if you are organising an event get in touch to see what we can offer you and your guests. You can contact us here or check out our website for further details.
This was my final wedding of 2013 and after an amazing year it ended on a high with the wedding of Cassie & Stewart. They tied the knot at the fantastic West Retford Hotel. This was my first wedding at this venue and it did not disappoint. The late afternoon ceremony meant that any outdoor images would be made in darkness but what a fantastic creative opportunity this venue gave me. With the fantastic interior decor and the equally wonderful ornate gardens I created a compelling portfolio of images of their day.
Here are a small selection of images from their spacial day, a big thank you must go to the staff at the West Retford hotel for their hospitality on the day. I photographed my penultimate wedding of 2013 recently at Clumber Park Hotel & Spa. A venue which is just ten minutes from my home and nestled on the outskirts of the wonderful Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park. Melanie & Gareth booked me to capture their special day some time ago, you may remember a recent blog of their pre-wedding photoshoot.
Here are a few images from their special day, they even managed to book a ten minute rain shower in the evening that allowed me to capture a special image for the bride & groom. Many thanks once again to the ever helpful staff at Clumber Park Hotel. If you would like to enquire about our wedding photography services please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you. It was a huge pleasure to be asked to photograph Jolene & Phil’s special day and you may remember a blog post of their recent pre-wedding photoshoot at Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire. The venue for their big day was the beautiful Clumber Park Hotel & Spa which is nestled on the outskirts of Clumber Park itself.
Jolene & Phil are a fun loving couple and wanted this portrayed in their images, even their wedding car went with a bang. After a short ceremony we enjoyed a short walk down the famous Lime Tree avenue in Clumber Park to capture some beautiful autumnal images. Here is a small selection of images from their special day. For more information about our wedding photography please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
I had the huge pleasure of Jolene & Phil’s company the other night for their pre-wedding photoshoot. We went to Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds and to get the best of the evening light and boy it didn’t disappoint. The sky was spectacular which made for a beautiful romantic walk along the lakeside – with photographer in tow of course, lol.
Jolene & Phil are getting married at the beautiful Clumber Park Hotel & Spar next month, I hope we are as lucky with the light.
