I’ve found over time that its very difficult to have a single website when im a photographer that caters for many different genres. My current website took on a more of a commercial slant, as that was where the bulk of my work was coming from, but i felt that i was also doing diss-service to the the other genres that i cover with equal amounts of enthusiasm.
The three websites all have a similar feel to them to maintain a pleasing aesthetic feel but importantly retain the same corporate branding. Please take a look and give me some feedback, i’d like to feel that im heading in the right direction with these but it is you, and hopefully many other people, who view these sites that can answer this.
If you know someone who this may be of interest to please do share my blog – and my websites 🙂
Just a quick blog to let you know I have a new website. I’d been having a few technical issues with my old one whereby a simple adjustment changed the whole layout and reverted my header images to much older versions. Well, I decided to bite the bullet and revamp the whole thing and produce a much brighter and fresher page.
The page is now up and running and there is even more content and information, especially about my wedding and portrait photography. The client galleries are still available to past customers and I’m hoping to incorporate this blog page into the site too, but that’s another story, lol.
The site can be found at the same address as before www.robferrolphotography.co.uk if you can spare a few minutes please take a look and maybe leave some feedback, I’d like to hear what you think.
On a different note, I’ve just announced a fantastic deal on my wedding photography. For any wedding booked before the end of February you will receive a 10% discount on the package price. See my website or contact me for more details.
I often trawl the net in search of inspiration and browsing the photo streams of my Flickr contacts is a fantastic starting place, but, inspiration not only comes in a visual sense but also a written one too. To get this double pronged boost you have to see an individuals website, blog or book and there are many fantastic examples to be found on the Internet. There are a few thought that I’m constantly drawn back to, one of which exhibits the stunningly fantastic work of bruce Percy. http://www.brucepercy.co.uk/index.html
As a photographer based in Scotland he is perfectly placed with an abundance of stunning scenery on his ‘doorstep’ and he shows it at his best, but he doesn’t stop there, his adventures around the globe prove that he is a photographer who is just a capable out of his comfort zone.
His images have a sublime mesmerising dreamlike feel to them, the sort of image you can just look at for ages but if you download his free video podcasts from iTunes you’ll be in inspiration heaven. Be inspired at http://www.brucepercy.co.uk/index.html
